Sandbox is Codeyoung’s proprietary learning platform hosting an in-built browser and thousands of practice worksheets where real-time learning happens in collaboration with the mentor and the student. Its primary use case is the active student community at Codeyoung who have enrolled for a given course on the platform.

<aside> 💭 Hypothesis

We researched and observed how Sandbox for the existing learner’s environment is doing a decent job of engaging kids through the curriculum-tied exercises, with a positive behavior towards achieving milestones on completing worksheets and being open to challenges. It hinted us to open Sandbox to the public and target new users. Redirecting traffic on the website, portals, and word of mouth through a reward system could generate new users into the platform.

<aside> ❔ Key objectives

We plan on expanding Sandbox to the public where it is positioned as a platform for students to learn and attain mastery over a variety of skills and subjects. It is completely free to hop into, or students can seek proper guidance by enrolling in the platform to take advantage of the added benefits.

Ultimately, we would like to create a gamified environment through rewards and gratification making kids keep coming back hence generating a loop, which further leads to subtle timed nudges to enroll with us.

Process

We would require an entirely new flow catering to the new user type where they land on the product page, click on the CTA to sign up through an email ID, and access Sandbox with curated features for new users.
